Handcrafted in the rolling hills of Somerset, in view of the legendary Glastonbury Tor, by Sheepland the family sheepskin company, established in 1986. We are the only company in Somerset (if not the UK) who still make our 100% British Rare Breed Doubles by hand in our Workshop. We pride ourself on our excellent craftsmanship and stunning fleeces. This is our rarest - and most popular - sheepskin breed, our stunning Jacob Sheepskins now made into a luxurious sheepskin double rug!
In our 30+ years of working with sheepskins, these are the largest 100% British Jacob Sheepskins we've found, to then find two that are an exact match is simply unheard of. Here at Sheepland, this is only our fifth supersized Jacob Sheepskin since 1986, but it was worth the wait, it is quite honestly a sight to behold! We just couldn't leave these sheepskins once we'd seen them in the Tannery, they match seamlessly, it is truly one of a kind. This beautiful double rug measures 203cm x 77cm with a wonderfully soft and luxurious fur and the most decadent natural Jacob colouring. This double is made from 100% British Jacob Sheepskins, entirely bred, grazed and processed in the UK subsequently tanned here in the South West, proving to be a thoroughly British Sheepskin from start to finish.
This would look incredible in any room, but especially attractive in front of a fireplace - although we can't promise that your four legged friends won't steal it for themselves! They also allow air to circulate to help regulate body temperature, not to mention they look and feel incredible. This rug can be kept looking wonderful with a sheepskin brush, which we will provide for free with every rug purchase.
